Born from a vision to put smiles on every child's face — learn how young Nigerians are changing lives through kindness.
Ukaegbu Gideon is a passionate Nigerian youth leader, web developer, and crypto enthusiast — a native of Bende Local Government Area, Abia State, whose heart for the less privileged became the spark that ignited a movement. He attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) in Anambra State, where his proximity to underserved communities deepened his resolve to act.
While at university, Gideon carried a dream — to reach out to the less privileged, to bring warmth, food, and dignity to those society had forgotten. He shared that vision with fellow students and young people around him, and the response was overwhelming. Majority of the youths bought into the idea, rallying around a shared belief that young Nigerians could be the change they wished to see. That movement became the Smiles On Their Faces Foundation.
"I grew up knowing what it means when people feel forgotten. I wanted to change that — one smile, one meal, one community at a time."
— Ukaegbu Gideon, Founder
Under his leadership, the Foundation has conducted welfare visits to motherless babies homes in Enugu State, hospital outreaches in Delta State, feeding campaigns across Anambra, and gained national media recognition on ABS Good Morning Anambra. Everyone who has been part of this journey — volunteers, donors, collaborators — is honoured with the title of Ambassador.
Beyond the Foundation, Gideon is building a career as a web developer and is deeply involved in the world of cryptocurrency and digital finance — embodying the spirit of a young Nigerian who combines tech, community, and compassion to create lasting impact.
Our annual partnership programme with McRelish Meals & Catering Services — first held 20th November 2025 (World Children's Day). 1,000 meals delivered yearly to hospitals and streets. Featured on ABS Good Morning Anambra," this programme has served over 1,000 meals to families in underserved communities. Beyond feeding, it inspires a movement — proving that ordinary youth can do extraordinary things.
We visit orphanages and homes for vulnerable children, bringing gifts, games, meals, and most importantly — joy. Our volunteers spend quality time with children, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and loved. Every child deserves to know they are not forgotten.
We amplify the voices of the vulnerable through strategic media campaigns. Our television appearances, social media outreach, and community dialogues spark conversations and inspire action — turning awareness into tangible support for those who need it most.
